Conveniently located on the west shore of the Northwest Arm, the Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron is only minutes from downtown Halifax. For vistors arriving from out of town the club property can be accessed from Highway 103 via Northwest Arm Drive to Williams Lake Road and then to Purcell’s Cove Road. There is a crane available for launching (south side of lagoon) next to the Spar Shed. Visit the Dock Office for crane controls (or contact ahead at 902-477-2595 or email). Gas, oil, ice, and other support services are available in the same area. Other lubricants and necessities can be obtained at the Squadron’s beautiful clubhouse on the north side of the lagoon. Excellent accommodations, eateries, drinking establishments and other services of interest to sailors coming to the area can be located by clicking on Local Services for Visiting Sailors on the menu to your right.

The Squadron is located close to the mouth of the Northwest Arm, one of the most beautiful recreational sailing areas in Canada. The club provides easy access to Halifax Harbour, the second largest harbour in the world. Racing will be held in the harbour, which offers extensive open areas and reliable sea breezes in the summer months.
